This Merlot from Merrie Mill has been showing off from its first vintage and this year is no different. Constantly surprising everyone and especially our non Merlot drinking crowd has been shocked by how much they are enjoying this fantastic wine. The Merlot is definitely benefitting from a gorgeous 2023 vintage and ripened at laser speed which kept all of the freshness of the Merlot grape by allowing us to get it in early in the harvest season. Because of the strength and intensity of this wine even from the beginning it was put into quite a stunning barrel program of 40% new oak. This wine is built to age and will continue to develop over the next 10 years.
